Ponmana Selvan
Born in Nagercoil and raised in Chennai, though he has never been deprived of any comfort in his life, has always been concerned about unprivileged people of the society. This concern is not something that was induced into him by any particular person; he has been a natural and from the time he remembers he has always been looking around and has never hesitated either to raise his voice or extend his helping hand whenever the need has arisen.
Jaiwanth is a multifaceted personality; he is an actor, having acted in films “Mathya Chennai” in 2009, “Kaattu Paya Sir Indha Kalli in 2018, and his current projects include “Assault”, “Fault” and “Ameera”.
He is a social activist too! True to his name, which means Victory, he IS after victory all the time, however, it is not just victory for himself as an individual that he strives for, he is compassionate, empathetic and caring and his life symbolizes the principles of nurturing fellow human beings because his true self is being empathetic and considerate.
He heads a welfare movement wherein he has attracted thousands of energetic and like-minded youngsters to be with him and to carry out his mission; his mission is to teach people to fish and not to feed them with fish.
The welfare movement that Jaiwanth started has gained popularity among the rural youth population and now has stepped into Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh as well, besides Tamilnadu.
Work on developing first-generation entrepreneurs is underway and is soon expected to take off; this is besides all other social service activities that are always on the go!
